While there have been consistent speculations about Marshamellow’s identity, it is not surprising that Forbes had to take on the lead and find the actual truth behind the identity.
So, how did they manage to unveil his speculated identity?
In a 2015 interview with Shrillex, which was being conducted by Katie Couric, he received a call from what he said was “Chris”. But, understanding the situation, he quickly corrected himself saying that Marshmellow was calling him.
From that one hint thrown around, Forbes speculated and (rather confirmed) that Marshmellow is Chris Comstock, who goes by his stage name Dotcom.
Another striking similarity between them was the label they were signed under.
Upon further investigation, Forbes found that searching Marshmellow and Chris Comstock on BMI brought back similar results, which was another factor that led them to believe that they could indeed be the same person.
But, not just Forbes, even a few Twitter fans managed to unveil their true identity following this similarity. It said that both Marshmellow and Comstock have similar leg tattoo, making people turn their eyes on this possible similarity.
So, now that Forbes was able to draw the similarity between these two artists as one, it was time to cross-verify the same. Not only has Marshmellow managed to secure some amazing awards for himself, but even Comstock has also achieved varying awards and achievements under his name.
According to a report from Heightline, it suggests that the DJ has an overall net worth of $21 million and is considered the highest-paid DJs in the world at the moment.
Why will the fans never know about Marshmellow’s real identity from him?
Even though Forbes does claim to be correct about their information, it is still a matter of speculation with no prompt understanding.
In 2015, Marshmellow even tweeted joking “My name is Chris…short for Christmas came early.”
This could mean something or this could mean absolutely nothing.
In one of the conducted video interviews with Forbes notes, Marshmellow suggested that he never plans on revealing himself. He clarified saying that he produces music for the happiness it brings him and the people around him. His main aim is not to become famous but to make people happy around him.
